I never though I would complain about longer daylight hours, however, they are proving incredibly problematic for the timings of the performance.

One of the main reasons for which the idea of performing outside excited me, was due to the ideal being of darkness, in order to add to my performance

However, as the it is still light currently (9.pm) I feel as though this would take away from the performance, and the need for the placement down an alley, as the daylight creates a sense of safety.

Because of this, I have now decided that after this snag, I am going to perform my piece in Studio 2 of the Lpac. Why the space is compatible to the piece:

– Dark room

– Full access to lighting, sound etc.

– Curtains enable sectioning of the audience – a smaller space in which entrapment can be sensed

 

Although incredibly disappointed, I feel as though this decision is for the best, and now I can concentrate on other aesthetic elements for the performance, but unfortunately, no green flames 🙁
